Craft a starter set of wall, floor and roof blocks

At the Workbench, 2 Wood Logs produce 100 Rough Wood Blocks, 2 Stone produce 100 Rough Stone Blocks, and 5 Plant Fiber produce 50 Plant Fiber Roof Blocks. Gather the source materials for these basic recipes, craft the block stacks, then use the Construction Hammer inside your altar’s area.

Put the three starter batches side by side

Wood and stone are alternatives for the main shell; roof material is a separate part of the set. The listed quantities are recipe batches, not guaranteed numbers of walls or rooms.

Choose the shell material before producing a large stockpile

Pick Rough Wood or Rough Stone for the intended wall/floor treatment, then add Plant Fiber Roof for the roof. Producing both shell materials is optional: the task is a usable set, not a requirement to fill every recipe.

As a planning recommendation, craft an initial batch and inspect the shapes you want to use before producing a large quantity. Different shapes consume different amounts of building material; a batch of 100 is not a promise of 100 complete walls.

Keep each item’s job clear

  1. Raw ingredients

    Logs, Stone and Plant Fiber feed recipes.

  2. Workbench batches

    Produces the actual building-block stacks.

  3. Hammer selection

    Choose block material and suitable shape.

  4. Protected build

    Place within the altar’s building area.

If the recipe is missing, check acquisition and the station

The Plant Fiber Roof recipe unlocks from obtaining Plant Fiber. Basic wood and stone recipes also use material-acquisition or progression conditions. Check what you have actually obtained, then look at the Workbench’s building recipes.

If you have crafted a block stack but cannot use it where intended, that is a different check: wield the hammer inside the altar’s coverage and select the material. Keep recipe unlocking and placement access separate.

Use current yields when estimating ingredients

Update 7 changed normal building-block batches to 100 and roof batches to 50. Older roof guides showing 100 Plant Fiber Roof Blocks from the same batch can overstate the available roof material.

For more decorative materials, check whether the recipe needs an ingredient acquisition or an exploration reward. Do not assume every later block follows the same easy starter unlock pattern.
