Make Wood Planks with the Table Saw
Use a Table Saw to produce 2 Wood Planks from 1 Wood-family log in 1 minute. The sheltered Carpenter can craft the Table Saw with 8 Wood Logs, 10 Nails and 1 Circular Sawblades. Planks are not Rough Wood Blocks: those are a separate Workbench building recipe.

Separate the station recipe from the plank recipe
For the plank input, basic Wood Logs are valid. The current recipe also lists Hardwood, Palm Wood Logs, Conifer Logs, Bamboo Logs and Tropical Wood alternatives.

The normal Carpenter route involves recruiting Cade Hawthorn and obtaining Circular Sawblades. The data also lists using an existing Table Saw as an alternative unlock, and identifies the “Table Saw For The Carpenter” quest reward.
If you already have a usable Table Saw, do not assume you must craft a second one before producing planks. If the Carpenter’s station recipe is missing, check the progression requirement as well as the ingredient list and Shelter state.

When another recipe asks for Wood Planks, a stack of Rough Wood Blocks is not a substitute. Both begin with logs, but the resulting items have different jobs.
This page gives the station and processing dependencies. Use a current quest route for the exact Circular Sawblades retrieval rather than treating the recipe’s prerequisite name as a location instruction.
